If I was charged with manslaughter, which is what I would do if someone tried to close this place down, I would want their Teriyaki Steak as my final meal. I don't know what they put in their ginger sauce, but it's the best thing I've ever tasted. Ever. Ever.

Family of 3 had 3 steak hibachi dinners, 2 beers and a soda for $27. The food quality wise was out of this world tender with amazing sauces. Service was very good. Who knew a strip mall Japanese restaurant in bowling green KY could be this great? If we lived here or nearby we would eat here weekly.

I really love this place. The price is just so fantastic and if you go in on a day that is kind of slow the service is super fast. We have come here a couple times and both times it has been fast and delicious. I love that you can get the japanese hibachi food w/o paying over $20 a person. For myself and my friend with a tip we only spent $18 and we were both overly full. I wish I lived closer I would have dinner here at least once a week.

Very good lunch. The food came out with generous portions and had a delicious yet clean taste. I usually don't like hibachi or teriyaki but this place made me love them. I highly recommend this restaurant especially to the people who hate food that tastes like MSG. The food seemed to use very very little MSG or none at all. However, this definitely is not a place for fancy mood. It is very very casual with good price to reflect that. Quality yummy food!

Great food, perfect portions, awesome price. Entertaining fish in a tank as well. Fast service, and nice quiet atmosphere. Not super cozy, but everything else more than makes up for that. Will be going back!

We are a party of 15 from greater Chicago area. We are looking for advice from yelp for good suggestions of restaurants. Based on 4 star reviews, we went to Kyoto Diner. Well, we are not disappointed. The restaurants are decorated like old food court served scattered old table, our party originally think of bailing out judging by poor worn tables, fortunately for us, we stay. The food was first class. The quality of teriyaki steak, which the majority of us ordered tasted just like it's from a Japanese steakhouse. Some ordered teriyaki salmon was also impressed. The food is extremely affordable. This might be a hidden gem in Bowling Green.

Kyoto's is seriously one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever eaten at. I used to live in Bowling Green many years ago and ate there on a regular basis. I recently was in BG again and decided to stop in and it's just as good as I remember--even more surprisingly the prices are still just as cheap! This is typical hibachi grill style food at 1/3 of the price. The only catch is it's a diner and cooked in the back rather than table-side. Which is fine because even at those hibachi places I'm long over the show and dining with strangers aspect and sit in the dining side there too. So Kyoto's gives great chicken, steak and seafood. What sets it apart is that every vegetable--broccoli and squash included--is excellently, addictively seasoned and tasty! The ginger sauce is delicious as well-fattening I'm sure but who cares when it's that good. Seriously--nothing on the menu is more than 13 bucks and that's for seafood and steak options.

Very fresh, tasty Japanese food. I was pleased with the generous helping of Shrimp and Scallops that I got. Veggies were wonderful also. Price is reasonable and service is prompt, highly recommended.

We shared a salad and two seafood dishes. The salad was fresh and crisp. The seafood was was perfect, the vegetables fresh and the service was prompt and friendly Good food at very reasonable prices. Who wouldn't like this little place. Yes, I am recommending this to my friends and will be back on our next trip to BG.

Kyoto is so amazing... Like everyone else said, very cheap yet tons of food. It tastes better than any hibachi grill I've been to! I just wish they werent on the opposite side of town.

Here from out of town for a family homecoming; chose Kyoto from other Yelp reviews. Very friendly place, super fast service and a great value. Food was good but not a gourmet experience - I had Teriyaki steak; my wife had salmon. Both were tasty; ginger sauce was very interesting. Ambience is toward the local cafe/greasy spoon style, but clean. Got away for $16 with tip for two full meals and it was tasty. Not where you would go for a night out - but for quick, interesting, tasty and cheap food, you can't do better.

I like this joint. the food is always fresh and the prices are reasonable. The staff at this location is much more friendly than the other location. I love the vegetables. They are always tasty and cooked perfectly.
